iWeb Valet update adds 'Like' Facebook button widget

ZiggySoft has released a new version (2.4.2) of iWeb Valet, a tool to enhance and upload iWeb pages. The upgrade adds a "Like" Facebook button widget and management of non-standard ports for FTP servers.

iWeb Valet works with iWeb, the web creation component of Apple's iLife suite. After you have created your pages with iWeb, instead of publishing your site to MobileMe (which, by the way, you won't be able to do much longer), you can publish your site to a folder on a local destination (your hard disk, for example), then you can use iWeb Valet to enhance in many ways your iWeb pages, and finally have your website uploaded on a FTP server.

iWeb Valet adds many features to sites made with iWeb. It is both easy to use and powerful. You don't have to know anything about programming or Web authoring languages such as HTML or JavaScript. iWeb Valet widgets give you the power to add new interactive widgets to your Web pages. For example, you can add dropdown menus, clocks, scrolling news, internal search engines, calendars, scrolling texts, navigation menus, falling snow, and much more. Finally, you can have your Web site uploaded to an FTP or iDisk server.

iWeb Valet costs US$25. A 30-day demo is available for download. Version 2.4.2 is a free update for registered users of version 2.x. iWeb Valet supports Mac OS X 10.4 and higher.
